For my magazine in particular being focused on Florida, many local/small stores would be willing to sell this magazine since it is relevant to the location of the store, Florida. Hotel lobbies, especially the Ritz Carlton would also be an effective way to distribute a magazine also since the majority of the people in hotels are visiting/vacationing.
The typical cost of a magazine add for a small local magazine is $500 (although some can get up to $20,000). Companies such as Target, Walmart, and Wallgreens will pay for ads and promotions in magazines, but also put the magazine in the store, which remakes the profit used to buy the ad. This being said, it is a very efficient way to gain a somewhat partnership between a magazine and a company during distribution.
In this magazine titled 'Florida Insider' it once again shows a family, with a small child running through the water and looks like he is enjoying himself. This magazine is targeting families with children, and most likely people who don't live on the water.
