CCR Draft 4 - Technology Integration

To integrate technology, I used a combination of programs to design the pages, including Photoshop, and Publisher. I used a downloaded font off of dafont.com as well. In my marketing I made a social media post on Instagram using hashtags such as #travelflorida #florda which have over  a combined 100,000 posts. As far as a distribution plan, I developed a plan on how to distribute my magazine online by creating a website. Although I did not actually develop the website, I feel as though that would be a good way to promote/distribute the magazine online.

CCR Draft 3 - Production Skills Developed

While researching distribution, I learned a lot about physical/print copy distribution of a magazine. Considering the internet is the biggest source of information currently, I was surprised to find that print copies would be more successful. Making deals with companies such as featuring ads in exchange for a spot on the shelf at the store is a good way to distribute. A good form of promotion is through social media using hashtags that are relevant to the content of the magazine.

CCR Draft 2 - Engaging With Audiences

To engage with audiences, I made it seem like something that all families can enjoy, rather than focusing on a certain group of people. The magazine makes it clear that in Florida there are activities for you no matter what you are into, and there are restaurants that suit anyone. The main goal was to attract people to the locations mention in the magazine, so I tried to make it appealing to everyone. As far as specific audiences, the magazine will most likely appeal to families with children (more specifically that live at home).

CCR Draft 1 - Conventions and Social Groups

Some of the common conventions i used were generic fonts for my title (Birch Std) and a separate  font for my body paragraph texts. During my research I found some pretty basic fonts and layouts that are commonly used in travel magazines, so I didn't really do anything unconventional besides putting borders around my pictures, which I found is pretty uncommon on travel magazines in particular.

For social groups, my magazine mostly represents the wealthy, considering the places mentioned are fairly expensive to live in. Considering race and gender, it doesn't really matter with this magazine. the activities listed are not targeting a certain race or gender, rather just families in general.

Comments-
When re-uploading the images, I realized that I was still not able to re-crop the images properly. I think the turn out was still fine though.
